HOPE SET HIGH January 4, 13:14 PM I enter 2025 quite a hefty lad, weighing in at 90kg - whoops. Too much festive cheer it seems. So, like I imagine half the country, a new workout regime, diet plan, and motivational mindset is the first thing on the agenda for this month, once I finish off the last of the Christmas chocolate that is... I reignited an Instagram account I had that tracked my workouts and progress. I let it go stale and lost my accountability; but in fairness, there was a lot going on personally that meant it simply stopped being a priority. Opening it back up again gives me some new goals to strive for and brings back that accountability to keep myself honest. In other news, I got my hands on a batch of Point Horror books. To anyone reading this scratching their heads, Point Horror was a Young Adult book series from the early 90s. I enjoyed them immensely, and was very happy when I realised that a Point Horror Book Club that I was part of a few years ago is still running and going strong, so I'm going to do a read-along with that. I'm also going to write up my reviews here, because, well, why not? Gives me something to do. 2025 lies ahead and, with the lessons from last year, I enter with some trepidation, but also the same hope I always have that something good will come from the year. I continue to trust in God and rest in him guiding me to wherever I need to be. Wishing anybody reading this a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2025. |
